Inaugeral Post!!!

Hi Folks!

I recently got an announcement that appeared to be from fb, though it may have been a hoax. It said I needed to include a special “secure” addition to my account by July 1, and if I did not, my page would be cancelled. Hm.

Well, first, I’m not sure it’s from fb. If it IS from fb, I wonder if “secure” is for MY security….or theirs. I’m thinking the latter. So.
I’ve been thinking about putting our communication on substack.com, as I’ve read/heard it is more “secure”, meaning it won’t kick me off, put me in jail or censor my topics. NOW seems like a good time to do that.

I’ll need your email to be able to send substack communication to you, so you’ll find the emails in…well, where else? Your email Inbox! Hopefully, it won’t go to your spam folder, but check there in case. According to the message I received, July 1 is the cut-off date, so if you want to continue communicating with We the People of Johnson Co MO, send me a pm with your email address asap. If you’ve already put your email in our book at one of the meetings you attended you’ll probably get this in your email. Check your Inbox and spam folders for it. If not there, send it to me via messenger.

I think we’ll still be able to post videos of our meetings on substack.com, so that will be the plan. At some point I may have to add a “paid subscription” option, I’m still not fully sure on that. I’m trying to get this going as quickly as possible so our group doesn’t disappear from fb without another option being in place, so I’m learning as I go. If the paid option becomes an issue, I’m pretty sure there will be 2 levels to choose from, either paid or free, so you’ll have a choice.

If you’re familiar with substack give me a yell so I can learn from you!!! Otherwise, sit back and relax, as we have it as a backup if fb stops our page!
