As many of you know, Matt Sergent is running for Representative of our 54th District in 2024. His Announcement Party is as above, and one of the things he wants very much is to hear from all of us in his district what it is we want and need him to pursue in Jefferson City.
He’s requesting we bring our thoughts to the party. If you want to write them down and give to him as well as talking with him, all the better!
I appreciate that Matt wants to Represent the Grassroots folks. His idea of government is from the Grassroots, up - he REPRESENTS us. As opposed to GOVERNING from the top, down.
He’ll have his invitation formatted soon, and I’ll send a copy when I get it!
Put January 11 on your calendar and bring him your thoughts on what MISSOURI needs!
I have a reminder for you on our next We the People of Johnson County Missouri meeting.
Joe Hubbard will tell us what is going on at Standing in the Gap homeless men’s Ministry. Please bring items we can give to the men in his ministry! He said they can use any of the following:
Bibles
Toiletries
Socks
Shirts (XL AND XXL)
Undies
Gloves/Hats
I’ll have a table/box/something for us to put our gifts on so Joe can deliver them to the men. I’m excited about this! Joe and Tara do a great job of helping these men learn that God is the Purpose of life, and that’s where our HOPE comes from. They not only provide a shelter, they give the men structure to their schedule that requires learning to know God and know themselves better.
Instead of allowing men to remain in a detrimental situation and just provide a place for them to shelter at night, which is what most shelters in our area do, Standing in the Gap provides the tools for these men to have life, and have it abundantly.
Our meeting focus will be on Election Integrity, and how to assure that happens in Missouri.
Matt Crouch from Heritage Action for America will discuss what their group is doing to move our elections toward transparency - 1 person = 1 vote.
Senator Denny Hoskins will present his thoughts on attaining and maintaining Election Integrity in Missouri, and his plans for doing that as Secretary of State.
