It’s that time of year again!!! Christmas is over, the New Year has rung in, and Legislative Sessions are starting up!!! Time for us to GET BUSY!!! 🐝🐝🐝
So WHY are we going to Jefferson City???? To check on our state employees who work for us there!
We have a few Representatives and Senators who haven’t seen us for a while. Or maybe never have seen us! However, they see lobbyists, and get rewards from lobbyists regularly, so they’ve gotten confused. They think they work for the lobbyists.
We need to see them, they need to see us, and we need to be sure they know they work for us. We vote them in, and we can/will vote them out. They need to know that, and so do we.
Some of them have become so lobbyist-friendly, they’ve gone feral, grown horns and become RINOS.
Now there’s a fine how-do-you-do!!
So, we need to see them, chat with them, and ask them what bills they’re proposing. What bills are they planning to vote “yes” on? What bills do they plan to vote “no” on. Would they be so kind to make you a copy of each bill so you can read through it? Get their email and phone number so you can contact them after you’ve read the bills they provide you.
Basically, the stuff any good employer would do to supervise and encourage his or her employee.

Another reason we need to visit Jefferson City is we have a new freshman Representative, Brandon Phelps. I know the lobbyists have already visited him several times, so we need to get by and visit him.
He already has pre-filed a bill to allow a person to put their “gender” (whether they feel like a girl or boy) on their driver’s license, instead of putting their “sex” on their driver’s license, as it’s shown on their birth certificate. That’s not in the job description I have for my Representative. We all need to be sure he knows what we’re expecting of him, and that he will be held accountable for his votes in two years when elections come around again.
I’ll reiterate again the issue of our Representatives electing either Justin Sparks or Jon Patterson for Speaker of the House.
I’ll try to be as specific as I can, so you can know what’s happening. If you already understand the issue, skip this part!
WHO IS JON PATTERSON & HOW DOES HE VOTE:
Jon Patterson is from Jackson County
He has voted NO for IP Reform TWICE
He is a self-declared “never-Trump-er”
He is one of 3 Republicans who voted NO for the SAFE Act to keep boys in boys’ sports and girls in girls’ sports
He has repeatedly voted NO for PRO-gun bills
He opposed taking Amendment 3 to the courts to litigate the abortion/transgender bill, and instead calls it “The Law of the Land.”
He believes the current idea of allowing only SOME bills to come to Committees to be heard, especially those having money backing, is a good idea, as opposed to ALL bills being heard.
He wants to be THE ONE who decides which bills are and are NOT heard.
He wants to be King….?
WHO IS JUSTIN SPARKS AND HOW DOES HE VOTE?
Justin Sparks has sponsored several PRO-gun bills
He was primaried by the RINOS, and still won back his Representative seat
He voted YES for IP Reform on each vote
He voted YES for the Safe Act
He is 100% for Donald Trump
Sparks believes the Missouri Constitution supports that ALL bills should be heard, and plans to change the House Rules to state that.
Sparks believes the Pay-to-Play system is unconstitutional, and wants to change House rules to comply with the Constitution.
Sparks believes the House Speaker should NOT have supreme power over legislation, that each Representative should be able to do the work s/he was elected to do.
Can we hold our Representatives accountable for voting in as Speaker of the House the candidate we think is best?
ABSOLUTELY. THAT is why we get to vote. From Day 1, keep your tally sheet so you know if your Senator and Representative REPRESENTED YOU. If s/he did not, you are their boss….VOTE ACCORDINGLY.
