I just listened to this Fox News Special Report with Bret Baier (link) talking with the DOGE panel. This is GREAT information!! It’s about 30 minutes, so you can listen over lunch, in the car or during morning coffee. It’s FABULOUS!!!
Some of the highlights are:
DOGE is literally IT support for the government.
They’re making it so all government IT systems can talk to each other, which prevents fraudsters from taking money from several different departments. For example: A fraudster can call and request disability and medicare, and lie about his/her age and name, thus getting both payments started. If the social security system automatically talked with the disability/medicare system, the government employee would immediately know the age/name/birthdate of the calling fraudster did not match a verifiable living person.
Because of these improved IT systems that are connected to each other, social security allotments will be increased!
The IRS IT system has not been updated for DECADES. That update will save money and help pay off the US debt to the tune of billions of dollars.
Before the DOGE fix, all government employees had to retire by using paper files. These tons and tons of files dating back to the 1950s have been stored in a retired mine cave. They are now on computer memory and the retirement process has gone from taking weeks/months to days.
