Many of us are fortunate enough to know Rick Brattin who is running for the Senate in our District 31. YAY! Joe Nicola is running for Senate in the Jackson County area. I wish I could vote for him, too, but I alas, I can’t. Laws, you know.
However, any of you in Joe’s district…VOTE YES FOR JOE NICOLA FOR SENATE.
Both Rick and Joe spoke for us at We the People in October. What a ONE, TWO PUNCH!!!
Two men, both who love God, both vying for Senate seats in their respective Districts, both logical, rational, Spirit-led men. Thank YOU, God!
Recently, the KC Star did a goofy write-up about the horrors of Joe Nicola saying some mental illnesses may be demon-possession. The goofy part is that Joe said it quite a while ago, not as a leading topic but as a side comment, they’re suddenly glomming on to it to make him look OUT THERE(!), and here’s the kicker….nobody can disprove the statement.
Can medication help mental illness? Sometimes. Not saying it can’t. There ARE “mental illnesses” out there however that medication can help very little. Schizophrenia, for one. Multiple personalities, for another. Mostly what the medications do is make the symptoms more “livable.”
Bottom line: Just know the line about, “Joe Nicola thinks depression is caused by satan,” is meant to hype people into thinking he’s wacko.
He definitely is NOT. He’s what we need for our Jackson County Senator.
Joe’s presentation at our We the People held people’s rapt attention. Five people came up to me afterward and said, “I could listen to him for at another hour or two. Easy.” His presentation centered on the Greek word Ekklesia, which has been translated into English to mean “church.” The problem with that is when Jesus told the disciples He would build His Ekklesia on Peter’s statement that, “You are Christ, the Son of the Living God,” they understood what He said. HOWEVER, there was no such thing as church then. Hmm.
There was synagogue. There was a Temple. How come the disciples who questioned Jesus about nearly everything under the sun, didn’t ask Him what the heck is a “church”?
Because, the Aramaic word Jesus spoke that was translated into the Greek word Ekklesia, actually meant Government. Jesus was telling His disciples to build the Government of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth….the same way as it functions in heaven.
That’s why there were no questions. They knew government. They knew Jesus had told them He was the King of the Jews. Government.
Oh. That stopped me in my tracks.
In case you’re thinking, “WHY did the Fathers of the Constitution then tell us to SEPARATE church and religion?” That was done to protect the CHURCH. Their churches had been killed and decimated and replaced by the government. They did NOT want government having anything to do with their church.
When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them to pray correctly, what did Jesus say?
Our Father, Who lives in heaven, YOUR Kingdom come and YOUR Will be done on earth, the same way it’s done in heaven.
THAT is our Job. That’s the gist of Joe’s presentation to us in October. THAT is not a crazy man.
If you live in a District where Joe Nicola is running for the Senate, he’s your man. If you know someone who lives in Joe’s District, call them up. Tell them he’s a BIG YES.
