We the People of Johnson County Missouri Tuesday, February 18, 2025 😀🔥 Terrific Speakers Last Night!!!
What a great group of presentations and presenters tonight!!!
🔥First up were Mallory and Will Grauberger from The Gathering Coffee House.
They shared the vision God gave them for doing missionary work….on U.S. college campuses! The Gathering is open late into the evening so affords students a place for both daytime and nighttime studying and activities!
Mallory’s vision was to have a constant reminder for students that God is real and loves them, but not in a way that shoves it at them. Every cup in The Gathering has a scripture verse on it, there is a prayer board on the wall, and so many other reminders of God’s love, like fresh cookies and steaming hot coffee!
Will runs Premier Comfort Solutions, an HVAC company that supports the family and sometimes supports Mallory’s mission! 😊☕
What a solid and inspiring couple! So glad to get to know them better last night. Drop by The Gathering and have an excellent cup of coffee…and maybe a cookie!
🔥Our own Jack Ryan was up next!
Jack came to We the People early on, and then for a while he was gone. I couldn’t figure out what had happened to him until we ran into each other at an event. I was happy to see him and Laurie! They filled me in on happenings, and that they were afraid coming to We the People meetings would pull the group into “his” problem.
Jack had been arrested and charged with several felonies for his attendance in Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021!!
He took the 20 hour bus ride from KC to DC to witness, in-person, the historic event of the questioning of the 2020 election. He took in President Trump’s speech, as well as others, and then meandered back to the Capitol to take in other speeches. He said only one side of the Capitol had barricades, so he walked freely around the area, greeting and speaking with Capitol Police, having absolutely no warnings or redirection from them.
Suddenly a group of police came running up behind him. One slammed into him, knocking him sideways, then another, and finally he braced himself and put up his hand to prevent a third cop from knocking him over. That’s when his picture was taken, and he became a fugitive from justice. Actually, from INjustice would be more accurate.
Jack was 2 days from going to DC for his hearing and possible incarceration when President Trump pardoned those persecuted for J6.
He said his take on the event even as he watched it happen was that it was staged. Only a handful of people were doing “riotous things.” The “crowd” was peaceful and quiet, however staged videos were all the Democrats allowed to be shown.
Wow! When you see Jack again, ask him about his experience!
🔥Ron Freeman was our keynote speaker, and he was terrific!
We first met Ron at We the People of Jackson County a couple of years ago. He played for the Chiefs in the past, and has done consulting to Lee’s Summit schools. The new Superintendent asked Ron about his work, and wanted to know if Ron, as a black man, saw racism in the LS school system. Ron replied, “No. Definitely not.” Shortly thereafter he and the school system parted ways.
“Rethinking Race - It’s Better Than What We Have Been Led To Believe,” is Ron’s newly published book. In it he shares his take on racism; that it ends with God. In God’s sight, there are no “victims” based on skin color. Being a victim is an inside job; one does it to oneself.
He cited several historical examples of “white NON-privilege”, including the fact that around 300,000 white Union soldiers died trying to end slavery in the Civil War. Other historical facts he brought to light were that the writers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution knew slavery needed to be abolished, however having just finished a war, the brand new country was not ready either physically or economically to fight another war to stop slavery at that time. The southern states’ economy was dependent on slavery, which further complicated the economics of another war. England was watching the new United States “experiment” very closely for an opportunity to retake the land, and the Founding Fathers were well-aware of that.
Their feelings about slavery were clear in their writings that “all men are created equal.” That’s where they wanted to go when they were no longer limping, bleeding and in danger of being retaken by Britain.
Ron believes history shows the Democrat party has used slavery and color to divide our nation for political power. The Democrat party supported slavery, while the newly formed Republican Party under Lincoln determined to put an end to it.
His presentation was SO MUCH MORE than what I can share with you in this post!! I encourage you to get and read Ron Freeman’s book, Rethinking Race - It’s Better Than What We Have Been Led To Believe! You’ll learn new things, you’ll get new perspectives, and overall you’ll be inspired and ENJOY READING IT!!!
Jerry and I were really sorry our speakers had such a tiny crowd. They deserved more! Please come to our next We the People and bring friends, especially ones who have never come before!
