Hi Folks!!!
What a FUN Business Fair we had last Monday night (11/20/23)!! Thanks to ALL OUR BUSINESSES who participated!!! If you were one of the participating Businesses, please let us know in the Comments below what worked for you, what didn’t work so well, and any changes you think would be helpful should we do this again.
Our raffles were a BIG SUCCESS! MANY THANKS to Mike & Mary Kelledes for the wooden flag and Daryn & Lana Cashmark for the flag-etched glasses. All of them were beautiful!!
MANY THANKS to ALL the folks who came early and helped us set up. Jerry says however, that next year we need more YOUNG men with YOUNG BACKS to come early and help set up tables!!! 😀😀
A BIG SHOUT OUT to Tommy Wiley for being my “Personal Assistant” last Monday, doing all the stuff I am too short or not muscly enough to do. I appreciate you, my friend!
Take a minute to say THANKS!!!! to our Business Fair Committee members:
Dee Ann Poole,
Laurel Morton
Verna Jenkins
Rachel Gifford,
as we have THEM to thank for finding conservative-minded business owners and inviting them to our event!!!
Nadine Soles and Verna Jenkins thank you for “womaning” the Raffle table, and thanks to EVERYBODY who brought cookies!!!
We’ve talked to so many folks who said the evening had such a warm Community feeling. I agree! I met folks in our Community I didn’t know before, and I’m glad to know you! I used the Onion Spinach dip from The Dippin’ Family business for a Thanksgiving appetizer, and it was a big hit!
It was great fun to have the Fair Association Board members come by after their meeting! Thanks to all of you for coming by, and for having such a great space and allowing us to use it.
SO MANY people to THANK!!! If I’ve missed somebody, please let me know in the Comments!
On to another topic: Did you all know different towns have Christmas Parades? That is new to me. It’s not just Christmas elves and Santa stuff either. Political candidates advertise in these parades! I saw this in Holden -
Who are the Johnson County Republicans?
I thought I was one, but I didn’t know anything about this truck advertisement. Hm…? They surely don’t mean the Johnson County Republican Central Committee, because the JCRCC isn’t allowed to advertise for candidates until after one is chosen in the Primary. Curious….?
I found out that WARRENSBURG is having a Christmas Parade!!! Yeah! It’s this coming Friday, Dec. 1.
Line up time & Location are to be announced later this week.
I found out Git ‘er Done candidate Matt Sergent will have a truck in the Warrensburg Parade.
Jerry and I are going to walk with him! If you’d like to walk also, let me know!! It should be fun! I think the weather is supposed to be warmer on Friday. Let’s SWARM the truck!!!
Thank you, Dee Ann Poole, Laurel Morton, Verna Jenkins, Rachel Gifford, and Nadine Soles, for all your hard work! I hope we make this annual event!
Yes, a really nice event!! It was nice to be social and talk with everyone.
And Rachel, you bring up some very good questions regarding the RCC and support of a political candidate...... wonder if one of the township reps would be able to ask at the next meeting. When is that again?
