We the People of Johnson County Missouri, Thursday, March 14, 2024 🎩🎈🎣🎪 Lincoln Days, Campaigning, Camp Valor, and Our Next Meeting
Hi folks!
Are you ready for the big Lincoln Day Celebration??? It’s coming up, and lots of us have tickets, and we get to sit together at tables marked “We the People” with a little sign in the middle!
Jerry said he’s going to get some red, white and blue balloons to put at our tables, too! That’ll be fun!🎈🎈 We’ll see if he does….
Date/time/location for any of you who don’t know yet is:
Saturday, March 16, 2024
5:30pm
UCM Elliott Student Union Ballroom
511 S. Holden Street, Warrensburg, MO
Single tickets are $50 each to sit in the general public tables; seats at designated tables are $62.50. Apparently, there is a price for sitting with friends! Works for me!
Mary Kelledes let me know today the Bill Eigel Campaign would like for us to wear our Eigel for Governor shirts to Lincoln Days! That would be comfy!
Its kind of hard though, because I want to support ALL our candidates!!! I need a Bill Eigel, Rick Brattin, Matt Sergent, Denny Hoskins shirt!!! That could end up being a full-length gown. WITH A TRAIN! 😄
And one for supporting Kirk Walker for City Council!!! Any of you in the Warrensburg City limits, be sure to vote for Kirk on April 2!!! Spread the news he’s running!
If you would like to help Kirk, we need people for the “ground game”….door-to-door handing out cards, phone calling, and whatever else gets out the VOTE for him!
We sent out mailers last week, and he has 2 BIG signs we’ll put up tomorrow, so tell friends, neighbors and whoever you stand next to in line at the grocery store!! 😀
Before Lincoln Days Activities - Camp Valor Outdoors
Camp Valor Outdoors is having an event this Saturday afternoon, prior to Lincoln Days, and Bill Eigel will be there as well!! He’ll be speaking and doing a meet ‘n greet. Jerry and several others of us will be there, too. YEHAAAA!!!
If you’ve never been to CVO, come one, come ALL!!! It’s a treat!! Here is info for you. Briefly, Camp Valor Outdoors was founded by John Schwent, whom many of you know, for the specific purpose of helping veterans spend time together healing and hunting. Well, that’s my version. You should check the website and talk to John to get the full scoop.
They do all kinds of outdoor activities for veterans, and also have some tiny homes for veterans who are homeless. The idea is, as long as you (the veteran) are willing to work on yourself, we (CVO) are willing to help you do that. Let’s do it together like the military team you were on - team members helping and having the back of your team members.
Camp Valor Outdoors has a meeting venue, so keep that in mind for your next meeting or event! That’s where we’ll meet on:
Saturday, March 16
1:00pm
CVO - 1527 SW 300th Rd, Kingsville, MO 64061
Speaker: Bill Eigel, who once worked at Whiteman Air Force Base!
