Hi Folks,
Quite a meeting last night! Big THANK YOU to Retired Lt. Col. Stuart Sullivan for sharing his presentation and life with us! Big THANK YOU to Miranda for sharing her testimony! Big THANK YOU to all of you for your support and love!
I see God working in our world. I see evil encroaching as well, but thatās not a surprise to God, nor is it even an obstacle. The evil is here to wake us up. To help us see what life is like with less of God, so we turn to God in a mighty way!
Thank you for your support in my running for Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) Board! This has been quite a learning experience and adventure. If I am elected for the position, Iām sure it will be another adventure! I believe itās essential to have actions of our community health be based on a solid foundation of numerous research articles from a variety of sources. Basing a communityās health on a one-sided narrative is not responsible. Or healthy.
I think our JCCHS can become solvent and stronger by offering more services to our community and obtaining a variety of non-governmental grants. I see that as a win-win for both our community and the economic stability of our JCCHS. I want to see us have good service and self-sustainability.
Bottom line: I hope together we can do good things for our community and thank you for your support.
Now, in regard to the āChildrenās June 3ā event. Iāll just call it CJ3 for short. I think our next step is a planning meeting. Questions for that are when, where, and who will attend.
When? Is afternoon or evening better? What day of the week works better?
Where? If we did a dinner meeting I think Heroes could be an option. I think they would let us use their back room if we purchase meals. Other places?
Get back to me as quickly as you can on this. Iāll tally the votes for both time and place and send out another post with what works for the majority.
I will bring my computer and a projector & screen so we can collect thoughts, Iāll write them on my computer, project them on the screen and we can formulate our plan of action (POA).
Iām excited! Iāve never done something like this before, so itās a new adventure! If any of you have experience with ācivil disobedienceā (is that what this is?) we need your wisdom!!!
Iām reminded of Ester 4:14 when Mordecai encourages Esther to speak out for her people, the Jews - āFor if you remain silent at this time relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, BUT you and your fatherās family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?ā
What I hear in that passage is personal. God saying, āYou know Rachel, if you are silent and do nothing to protect my little ones, I - God - will still implement My Plan. My Plan wonāt fail. But YOU wonāt get the astounding blessing of being part of it. That saying āNo,ā to Me will put a hardness on your heart that will keep you from being able to see My Golden Light of Love that I so desire to shine on you. Youāll miss out.ā
I donāt want to miss out on ANYTHING God has for me.
2 Cor. 3:17 says, āNow the Lord is the Spiritā¦and where the Spirit of the Lord is, THERE is FREEDOM!ā
I want FREEDOM.
I usually ask you to share our posts, but Iām thinking we might want to be careful about with whom we share this one. Use your wisdom on that.
LET ME KNOW YOUR WHEN/WHERE PREFERENCES.
Please keep me posted on days and meetings. I definitely want to attend this one. Monday or Thursday best evening. Thanks for all you do.
I love your idea to have blood drawn locally for a small fee. When I was diagnosed with cancer (2004), I had blood drawn several times before and in between treatments. I would have to drive to get my blood drawn. How much time would be saved with your idea!! I think itās amazing and I look forward to voting for you.
As for the CJ3 meeting, Iām flexible on date, time and place. I will help where I can but I will not be available June 3 (I already have plans for that week). Thanks for all you do!
