Hi Folks,
Today has held some sadness for Jerry & me, and we just wanted to share what’s going on with our We the People of Johnson Co MO friends.
Jerry’s brother has suffered for several years now with Parkinson’s Disease and more recently multiple myeloma. This afternoon he went to heaven.
The Bible says there is REJOICING in heaven when God’s children come home, so I think there’s been some raucous partying going on up there! For Roger, we are thrilled! He’s no longer in pain, he’s not debilitated, he can walk, smile, dance and praise God without ANY ENCUMBERANCES!!
Down here…we miss him. We would like to have been able to spend more years with him in good health. It may be a while before we see him again.
In the meantime, we are so happy for Roger. And we can imagine the JOY of being in heaven when that time comes for us, and seeing GOD(!), and those we love who, in my earthly opinion, left too early.
It’s a difficult ambiguity. But, as long as we’re on earth, we’ll probably have it to deal with now and then. For us, it’s now.
There were 2 verses in my Bible reading this morning that have comforted me so much, since Roger left this afternoon.
Ps 91:13 -
Because he loves Me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him because he acknowledges My Name.” (God will protect and love us.)
- and -
2 Cor. 5:7 - We live by FAITH; not by sight.
We ask your prayers of comfort, strength, courage and PEACE for Roger’s wife Anita, and all the rest of us who are his family.
Thanks.
Love you.
So sorry for your loss. May the fond memories give you some comfort in this time of sadness.
What a beautiful tribute! May God’s love comfort you in your time of need.
